King must boot his brother out

- Edited by FIONA PARKER

■ KING Charles will make a big mistake if he continues his apparent attempts to ease the outcast Prince Andrew back into public life (Mirror, Jan 6).

Family loyalty is one thing but the public have no wish to see arrogant Andy back on parade after the damaging publicity over his concerning links to convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

Surely the King has enough problems with loose cannon Prince Harry causing problems.

He’d only be adding to them with damaging support for his scowling brother whose alleged superior attitude to royal staff in the past ia yet another blot on his copy book.

His Majesty would do well to keep Prince Andrew out of sight.

Paul Marston, Walsall, West Mids

■ If King Charles continues to stand behind Andrew he’ll be putting the future of the monarchy in jeopardy. I simply can’t understand his thinking on this. There is no way Andrew should be welcomed back into the fold or seen with the Royal Family. The man’s reputation is in the gutter over his association with convicted sex criminals Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell – and he is in danger of dragging the rest of the royals down as well.

If Charles has any sense at all he would banish Andrew from all aspects of royal life, including the Christmas Day visit to church at Sandringham.

Rose Morris Southport, Merseyside

■ King Charles must now commit himself to a decision to banish Prince Andrew from the Firm in the wake of the release of the Jeffrey Epstein documents.

The Royal Family has already been tarnished by the Prince’s dubious involvement with Epstein – and if they fail to take the measures to fully exclude him the damage to the Royals’ integrity will not be recoverable.

■ The truth about the way the royals operate is being laid bare with Charles’ protection of disgraced Prince Andrew.

The defender of the faith wants to protect an accused man. Really? The fact that he is his brother is not a good enough reason.

Yet this is a King who is reported to have taken away his son Prince Harry’s home and removed his security team.

Come on, Charlie, you have played the people for fools but now people can see what the royals are really like – and it’s not pretty.

Mary Pester, Saltash, Cornwall

■ It seems apparent that Prince Andrew won’t be made to cooperate with this ongoing investigation into convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein simply because he is a member of the Royal Family and they remain ‘untouchable’.

It’s not right that there is one law for the selected few and another for the rest of us. He should be told to cooperate or lose any taxpayerfunded privileges he has enjoyed for far too long.

Harry Wheeler Bridgwater, Somerset

■ Why is it so hard for the King to cut his brother Andrew off from the Royal Family?

He had no difficulty cutting out his youngest son and grandchildren which is an utter disgrace in my opinion.

Whatever they do, your children are always your children.

Come on, Your Majesty, doesn’t the church tell you to forgive? As the head of it you should be practising what you preach.

Christine Brown, Hull

■ The revelations about Prince Andrew continue to get worse, leaving a stain on the monarchy’s whiter than white image. If booted out of the Royal Family would he too go to America, write a best seller and make a fortune?
