Photo furore is beyond belief

- FIONA PARKER

I really wish the public would leave Kate Middleton alone. All the backlash this lady has had over the Mother’s Day photo she posted is so uncalled for.

She is recovering from abdominal surgery and must have thought it would be a lovely thing to do to post a photo of her with her beautiful family to wish everyone a Happy Mother’s Day. Yet because it’s been edited she has been met with what, in my opinion, is a disgraceful reaction from the public.

So what if Kate edited her photo? Nearly everyone who posts a photo on social media does that. Kate has done absolutely nothing wrong and shame on anyone who sees it for anything other than a caring, thoughtful gesture. This beautiful young lady is our future Queen and deserves our utmost respect. Sending lots of healing love and support to lovely Kate.

I can’t believe the amount of fuss that has been caused over the Mother’s Day photo of the Princess of Wales with her three children. So what if the photo was edited? The edits, made by Catherine herself, were very minor. The most important thing people seem to be missing is that it is a charming and beautiful Mother’s Day photo!

I feel so sorry for Kate who must undoubtedly be getting very stressed over this unnecessary furore as she recovers from her operation.

The fuss over the photo issued by the Princess of Wales is out of all proportion. It doesn’t matter one bit if she edited the photo and it’s incredible that there are people with so little to fill their lives that they scrutinised it in that amount of detail.

The Palace already said that Catherine would not be seen in public until after Easter. Just let her recover in peace.

What is the matter with people? Kate’s Mother’s Day picture was just a happy family photo. It seems she’s being got at just for trying to have a normal life.

When are any of our so-called celebrities ever photographed without being airbrushed or digitally altered? Can’t help feeling this is sour grapes because they didn’t call in an official photographer.

Thank you to Kate and Wills for showing us some lovely pics of the family.

Mary French, Avebury, Wilts

I cannot believe the fuss and furore over Catherine’s Mother’s Day photo. Don’t people realise that there are so many more important things happening in the world, such as children starving to death in Gaza and Sunak running the country into the ground?

Terry Wright, Derby

I find the debate about the Princess of Wales’ edited image totally ridiculous. Like most keen photographers, I use Photoshop a lot and to me this whole thing has been blown out of all proportion. This is an image created by Kate to celebrate Mother’s Day – nothing more, nothing less.

Tony Martin, Peterborough

How on earth should the Princess of Wales altering a family photo warrant so much attention? Across the world people are dying or being injured in wars, while thousands are suffering from lack of food and water. We need to get our priorities right.

Sandra Walter, South East London

I don’t know if I’m missing something but don’t understand why there’s such a fuss about Kate’s Mother’s Day photo. Even more so, how does this have any relation to the status of her health following her reported operation?

So, Trump won’t help to fund Ukraine in the war against Russia if he becomes president. If that’s the case, Russia will walk right through the Ukraine and then probably have a go at the Baltic states and possibly even Finland.

Trump could then find himself responsible for starting the Third World War.
