IT’S ALL ADDING UP WITH JONES

- BY ANDY DEAN

THE Nathan Jones era could hardly be going better at CHARLTON – but the Welshman insists it is not all down to him.

Three wins and a draw from their last four games have seen the Addicks pull 10 points clear of the relegation zone.

But ahead of their trip to FLEETWOOD today, manager Jones (above) was quick to deflect the praise on to others. He insisted: “Everyone has been magnificent since I’ve come in. The players need the credit, I know it’s a cliche of managers.

“I have demanded from them – I haven’t asked them to do stuff, I’ve demanded stuff from them. They’ve been magnificent.”

Anything other than three points at SHREWSBURY would edge CARLISLE closer to League Two next season while struggling CHELTENHAM face a tough away day at

BARNSLEY. Darren Moore’s quest for a first win as PORT VALE boss stretches into an eighth game today, OXFORD the visitors.

At the top end of the table, PORTSMOUTH sit five clear of the rest before visiting PETERBOROUGH while nearest challengers DERBY and BOLTON meet at Pride Park.

Rams boss Paul Warne (below) said: “It’s a game that neither team will want to lose.

“But with eight games to go, there’s still 24 points to go so even if you lose it and win six of your other games, you may be handsome and get the job done.”
