Harry Kane & co unveil England kit for the Euros
ENGLAND football stars have revealed the kit they’ll wear at Euro 2024 – and it looks like the classic blend of youth and experience.
The white first choice shirt is in a retro style.
But the alternative kit is something new – purple.
Either way, there is nothing retro about the prices.
A new replica adult shirt is £84.99 and a child’s version is £64.99. For fans who want an “authentic” jersey as worn by the players, it’s £124.99 for an adult and £119.99 for a child.
England captain Harry Kane and Lionesses star Ella Toone were among the players modelling the first choice top.
Bukayo Saka was one of the England aces in the purple kit.
In a video released by the FA of players having their first look at the shirts, Kane said: “I love the home kit.”
Lionesses striker Beth Mead said: “I really like [it]. Nice and retro.” The main kit, which also features blue shorts and white socks, is described by manufacturer Nike as a modern take on a classic strip.
The US firm said the purple strip is a mix of the blue and red change kits of the past.
Kane said of the second choice shirts: “I’d be interested to see what fans think of this one. It is totally different.”
Keepers will stand out in bright orange, which Lionesses’ goalie Mary Earps said “looks really nice”. England players from the men’s, women’s and para teams joined forces to unveil the kits.
All of the squads are due to use the new strips this year.
Kane and his team-mates are set to debut the home kit when they take on Brazil in a friendly at Wembley on Saturday ahead of the Euros in Germany starting in June.
