No love lost between slippery Republicans

-

REPUGNANT Republican Matt Gaetz has basked in glory ever since ousting party colleague Kevin McCarthy as House of Congress Speaker.

The move led many to question what drove the Florida politician’s desire to have him removed. Well, McCarthy provided his theory this week. “I’ll give you the truth why I’m not Speaker,” he said, at Georgetown University in Washington.

“Because one person, a member of Congress, wanted me to stop an ethics complaint because he slept with a 17-year-old. Did he do it or not? I don’t know.” And these guys are on the same side.

Delta passenger Lisa Archbold, who claims she was kicked off a flight for not wearing a bra, has demanded the airline change its policy. Archbold, scheduled to travel from Salt Lake City to San Francisco, stated that airline staff objected to her attire, which consisted of a loose white T-shirt.

“I was dressed similarly to any man. Moreover, my physique is less pronounced than that of many male passengers on that flight,” she raged. “Where does Delta set its standard?”

We goat this.

An escaped mountain goat that somehow got stuck under a Kansas City bridge has survived a rocky rescue effort and may now be reunited with its owners, who suspect he was stolen from their farm.

“Forget a solar eclipse. We were on goat watch,” said Tori Fugate of the KC Pet Project.

A boy of nine decided to drive himself to school in his mother’s car after missing the bus.

Terry Dunn of the Oroville California Highway Patrol, who brought the lad to a stop, said: “I did notice a little head bobbin’ inside – unusual.

“I exited my patrol vehicle, made an approach, and as I was approaching I could see a kid, which turned out to be a nine-year-old child sticking his head out saying, ‘I’m sorry, I was trying to get to school’.”

People don’t use sick bags so much any more thanks to the rise of anti-nausea medication so a manufacturer dreamed up a new use for them.

Dramamine, a brand for motion sickness relief, is offering Americans puffer jacket made out of the unused bags. It looks... sick, dude.

Kentucky’s Jesse Kipf had quite the solution to dodge shelling out over $100,000 in child support.

In a stroke of ingenuity – or so he thought – the 39-year-old hacked into the Hawaii death registry system in January 2023 and created a record of his own death. Now he’s a dead cert to be jailed.

P.S. The standard of American driving has to rank as one of the worst in the world. This week I drove past a sign aimed at lane-hoggers, which read: “Camp in the woods, not the left lane.”
