THE Hollywood owners of Wrexham AFC have been told to “fire up the jet” after the club won back-to-back promotions.

They beat Forest Green Rovers 6-0 on Saturday and will play in League One next season.

Last May Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney took the Red Dragons players to celebrate in Las Vegas following their rise to League Two.

And star midfielder Elliot Lee, 29, has already given them a nudge to get the ball rolling this summer. Speaking after the match, he said: “We’ve just told them to fire up the jet for Vegas.”

Fans ran on to the pitch following the huge win, setting off flares and throwing their arms around players, before partying into the night.

After the match, Deadpool star, Ryan, 47, said: “A few years ago, if you told me I would be crying tears of joy over a football match taking place in

North Wales, you would be Rob McElhenney.

“Congrats to Wrexham and to my co-chairman in crime. This is the ride of our lives.”

Meanwhile, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia star Rob, also 47, posted “no words” when promotion was confirmed.

The actors were both back in the US for the match, with commitments keeping them on the other side of the Atlantic.

But they had been glued to the action, with Rob phoning manager Phil Parkinson, 56, after the game.

Phil said: “Obviously, him and Ryan would have loved to have been here today but I’m sure they’ll be celebrating wherever they are.”

The club could be two seasons away from the Premier League if they continue to rise through the divisions.
