Arnold Clark and Prince’s Trust scheme helps those not qualified for apprenticeships
NOT only are Arnold Clark recruiting 200 apprentices, they are also seeking young people for the Get Into Cars scheme run in partnership with the Prince’s Trust.
If you don’t yet have the qualifications to get into an apprenticeship then don’t worry. There are other ways to get qualified and this scheme is one of them.
So if you are aged 16 to 25, unemployed, living in Glasgow and interested in a career in the automotive industry, Arnold Clark want to hear from you.
The Get Into Cars programme is a free six-week course run at GTG Training giving you experience in car mechanics.
During your time taking part in the scheme, you will: ● Spend four weeks training in Scotland’s leading automotive training centre ● Learn about vehicle maintenance, tyre fitting and car body repairs ● Undergo a 12-day work placement in one of Arnold Clark’s branches ● Receive a guaranteed interview for an apprenticeship with Arnold Clark ● Develop your skills and knowledge within a positive learning environment
This programme runs from July 14 to August 21 at GTG Training, 1330 South Street, Glasgow, G14 0BJ. The closing date for applications is June 1.
