ROARIE:ARSENAL SCALP BIGGEST EVER

- SUTTON v ARSENAL

SUTTON hero Roarie Deacon spent 10 years at Arsenal – but that will not stop him trying to pull off the biggest FA Cup upset of all time tonight.

Deacon joined the Gunners as a nine-year-old, grew up with the likes of Kieran Gibbs and Jack Wilshere but is now plotting his old club’s downfall in the fifth round.

Non-league Sutton have already put out Leeds but Deacon claims Arsenal’s scalp would go down in FA Cup folklore and he said: “It would be the biggest upset of all time.

“It would be spoken about for many years to come. I’d love my name and my team-mates’ names to be written in the history books of beating Arsenal and all their world-class players.

“We believe we can do it, 100 per cent. You can’t get this far in the Cup just by luck. We have a lot more to show.”

Meanwhile, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger revealed he threw up after his first defeat as a manager – and still gets sick every time he loses.

The Gunners boss recalled having to stop the team bus after suffering a defeat in his first job with Nancy so he could vomit by the side of the road.

Wenger still feels ill after every setback and defeat to Sutton tonight would arguably be his worst ever as a manager.

And on the back of a nightmare week after a 5-1 defeat at Bayern Munich left him facing the Emirates exit door this summer, Wenger said: “Every defeat is harder. I can never transmit to you my feelings about defeats.

“A player, when I managed for the first time at 33 or 34, said that after our first defeat I threw up. Every defeat hurts.

“But I am a positive person. I am a fighter. You don’t stay so long in this job otherwise.”
