Fancy a culinary Jolie to Scotland, Ang?

-

ANGELINA Jolie was pictured in Cambodia eating creepy crawlies and spiders. All you need is Joe Swash and someone from TOWIE and that’s this year’s I’m a Celebrity sorted.

Jolie says we all need to eat more bugs. Listen Angie, just take a holiday in the north of Scotland and you can swallow 20,000 midges in one day.

That said, us Scots might have to consider alternative foods before the supply runs out. If we don’t do insects, the other option is cannibalism. And if things get really bad – vegetables.

Alternatively, we could just move to a new solar system. NASA have found Earth-like planets 39 light years away. To give you an idea of how long it would take to get there, think getting a rush hour train on Scotrail. Then half it.

The planets are orbiting what’s called an “ultra cool dwarf star”. Words that might also appear on Tom Cruise’s Tinder profile. Six of the seven planets found are said to have the conditions in place to support intelligent life. The other is called Cumbernauld. ●BBC Scotland are to launch a new channel. Suggestions for original programmes are coming in thick and fast. The Wan Show, Who The Hell Do You Think You Are? and Doctor Whit to name but a few. Plus my personal favourite, Strictly Come Ahead. ●BAKE OFF winner Nadiya Hussain is to host her own eight-part cookery series for BBC2 this year. Then do the same show for Channel 4 next year.

In it she’ll go on a road trip around the UK, seeking out great food in a different region each week.

Nadiya is really hoping people will give her the food for hee haw. As after forking out for petrol, she’ll not have a penny left to pay for it.
