-

GREAT BRITAIN World Cup star and Grand Prix veteran Chris Harris has been confirmed in the starstudded field for the Allied Vehicles Ben Fund Bonanza at Ashfield on Sunday.

The 34-year-old, nicknamed Bomber, will be appearing in the Bonanza for a sixth time and is making a return to the track where he claimed 14 points riding for Coventry Bees last season.

And the three-time British champion, who is riding for Rye House this season, said: “I enjoyed it there last year. The track is a nice shape and well prepared so hopefully I can do the same again and have some fun.”

Other riders in the event include Claus Vissing, Thomas Jorgensen, Lewis Bridger, Aaron Summers, Kevin Doolan, James Sarjeant, Steve Worrall, David Howe, Richard Lawson, Ben Barker, Ricky Wells, Richie Worrall, Stuart Robson, Max Clegg, Nike Lunna. HOCKEY: Bromac Kelburne are still on course for their 13th consecutive league title after a 4-2 win over thirdplaced Grove Menzieshill.

Kiwi Nick Finlayson and Lee Morton put the Paisley side two up before a double by Menzieshill’s Albert Rowling brought the score level at the interval.

Kelburne scored two in the second half through Morton and Ben Peterson. TENNIS: Dunblane’s Jamie Murray and Brazilian Bruno Soares climbed nine places to No.4 in yesterday’s updated world rankings after winning Saturday’s Mexican Open final in Acapulco.

It was their fourth title together but first since last September’s US Open. ICE HOCKEY: Braehead Clan go into tomorrow’s home clash with play-off chasing Manchester Storm after back-to-back defeats.

The Glasgow side have already qualified for the endof-season play-offs and are in fifth place in the Elite League with 49 points. Coach Ryan Finnerty said: “We’ll be focused.”
