CELTIC have announced the arrangements for the funeral of club legend Tommy Gemmell.
A service for the Lisbon Lions hero will be held at Daldowie Crematorium on Friday at 12 noon. The funeral cortege will depart Celtic Park, down the Celtic Way, before heading to Uddingston. BOBBY MADDEN will take charge of Sunday’s fourth Celtic v Rangers derby of the season.
The SFA confirmed the appointment today with the East Kilbride whistler preparing for his first Old Firm clash.
He will be assisted by David McGeachie and Dougie Potter with Kevin Clancy as fourth official.
The 38-year-old underwent treatment for thyroid cancer earlier in the season. He missed two months and on his return in November said: “I’m happy to be back refereeing and keeping very well, so all is good.”
The last clash at Parkhead between the sides, in September, finished 5-1 to the Hoops with Philippe Senderos sent off.
