Park moans she’s lonely and can’t trust men
LOTTERY whinger Jane Park has moaned again that winning £1million has left her lonely and wary of men.
Britain’s youngestever Lottery winner appeared on ITV’s This Morning yesterday to discuss how striking it rich at 17 changed her life. Earlier this year, the 21-year-old considered suing Camelot, claiming the jackpot had “ruined my life”.
Hosts Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes mentioned Park’s latest headline news after she was convicted of drink-driving, banned and fined £900 this week.
But the TV duo focused on her shopping and lovelife.
Park said she still feels 17 is too young to handle winning such a large amount of cash.
She said: “Obviously at 17, it’s young, so I was put in front of financial advisers and I just didn’t really understand quite what they were saying at 17.
“I don’t think most 17-yearolds would.
“At 17, you’re still in school or you’ve just left school and you’re at that stage in your life when you’re deciding what chapter is to come next.
“And when you come into such a big amount of money, I just feel there should be more help and a direction.
“I’m not saying that I wish I’d never won it. It is better than not winning it.
“I bought a property, I moved in then there just became a time when I was just so lonely.
“I had no one. I had family and stuff but there were days when I was just sitting myself watching daytime TV and I was thinking, ‘This isn’t me’.”
Park, of Niddrie, Edinburgh, said she was seeing someone new. She has reportedly been dating X Factor hunk Sam Callahan, 22.
Asked whether she could trust men, she said: “I’ve got such a big guard with guys.
“I never know what their intentions are and it can be quite difficult. I’ve got my options open but I’m seeing someone. It’s very early days.”
Callahan’s management declined to comment.
