I FEEL like we only just finished with the January sales but the mid-season sales are here.

Zara and Debenhams have an amazing 50 per cent off and almost all of my favourite stores have massive discounts this week.

I hate sale shopping in person – rummaging through messy rails and big queues just don’t do it for me – but when it comes to online shopping, I can’t resist a bargain.

Even when there are no sales on, there’s always The Outnet, where there are bargains a-plenty all year.

I snapped up some amazing 80 per cent off bargains in The Outnet clearance just last week. A £700 evening dress for £90? It would be rude not to. So what are the best bits to add to your shopping bag in current sales?

● Classic winter coats and jackets are always a great choice. Steer clear of trendy details and go for simple styles you can accessorise yourself.

● Cropped jeans are going to be huge this summer so take a risk on a new denim shape. ● Pleated skirts are an autumn-winter trend that transfers easily to summer. They look fab with cami tops and tees.

● Stock up on lightweight knits you’ll be able to wear during the summer. In winter you can layer them over polo necks.
