KEY BATTLES

LEIGH GRIFFITHS V LUCA GASPAROTTO

GORDON STRACHAN has hinted Griffiths is the one Celtic player likely to get game time tonight and his pace and movement will present a problem for Falkirk defender Luca Gasparotto.

The ex-Rangers stopper has been in terrific form for the Bairns, helping them move into second spot in the Championship table just seven points behind league leaders Hibs.

Easter Road is a familiar venue for Gasparotto and that could see him earn his first international cap for the Canadians.

TOM CAIRNEY V SCOTT ARFIELD

FULHAM ace Cairney is in line to make his Scotland debut after an impressive season with the Cottagers.

The classy playmaker has struck nine goals in 39 Championship appearances this campaign and that blistering form for Slavisa Jokanovic’s side has caught Strachan’s eye.

Cairney could pit his wits against former Falkirk midfielder Arfield.

Despite earning 17 caps for Scotland Under-21s, the Burnley star will make his seventh senior appearance for Canada at Easter Road.

CHARLIE MULGREW V MARCUS HABER

FORMER Celtic utility player Mulgrew should have enough in his locker to cope with Dundee’s misfiring striker Haber.

The Blackburn Rovers ace has a wealth of international and Champions League experience behind him.

And it is a welcome return to the Scots fold for Mulgrew, who is set to earn his 25th cap after an 18-month absence from the squad.

Canadian hitman Haber has 28 caps but the Dens man has only scored three goals for his country.
