French school’s curse

-

THE French school which saw three pupils hurt in the attack also lost a former student in the Paris atrocity in 2015.

Estelle Rouat, 25, was one of 89 people murdered by terrorists in the Bataclan concert hall in the French capital.

She went to St Joseph’s in the Brittany town of Concarneau – the school whose pupils were caught up in Masood’s attack while on a trip to London.

Three boys aged between 15 and 16 were injured on Westminster Bridge. They were among a party of 90 visiting the capital.

The mayor of Concarneau, Andre Fidelin, said: “It’s terrible. A psychosis is likely to set in at the school because it has already been affected by terrorism. “Our emotion is intense. Concarneau is again touched by terror and horror and we cannot imagine the anguish and anxiety of the parents. “The attacks can happen any time, anywhere, and they can touch our loved ones and all of those who are dear to us. “A psychological unit has been set up for anybody who needs it. “The hardest thing will be to manage things when victims return.”
