Brown’s all set to cop out

-

THE curtain will come down on the senior career of Dumbarton’s former Rangers and Celtic keeper Mark Brown tomorrow after his side’s game at Ayr.

The 36-year-old Scotland B shot stopper is taking a step away from the game to start training as a police officer.

Brown, who also played for Motherwell, Inverness Caley Thistle, Kilmarnock, Hibs and Ross County, started the season as Sons’ first-choice keeper but lost his place to Alan Martin and has only been used once as a sub since last July.

Boss Stephen Aitken said: “Having a keeper of Mark’s experience about the club has been great for Alan and Jamie Ewings.

“He is starting his training for a new role soon and we wish him well with that.”
