FIVE CHANGES TO RULES

1. Cars and their tyres: They will be bigger and now permitted to carry a minimum weight of 722kg, up from 700kg.

2. Downforce: Rear wings have been altered and the rear diffuser is taller and wider. 3. More penalties: Grid-place penalties now carried over. 4. Putting the brakes on: Braking will be investigated if a driver’s behaviour could endanger another driver.

5. Standing restarts in the wet: Cars will return to their grid positions once the safety car has peeled off into the pit lane.
