SHE’S one of the hottest women in the world - but Katy Perry proved she’s just like the rest of us and needs reassurance at times.

The I Kissed A Girl singer showed what she does to boost morale when she’s feeling down about herself.

Having filled her Instagram feed with unflattering pictures to amuse her fanbase, Katy, 32, googled herself for “hot” pictures and posted the result.

Her followers thought it was hilarious that she had googled “Katy Perry hot”.

While it’s not unusual for popstars to post racy images of themselves, she captioned the image: “Was feeling insecure about my last two posts so...”, sharing the shot of her in a pair of hotpants and bikini top.

Katy admits she used to constantly search her name on Google and even had a Google Alerts set up on her phone. In 2013 she said: “I used to have Google Alerts, which would notify me about everything that was being written about me.

“But I’ve stopped all that. After all, there are more important things in life.”

Some celebs admit to searching their name online and their reactions to what they find vary from amusement to horror. THE La La Land actress admits that she has googled herself but doesn’t always like what she finds.

She said: “Some of it is really funny. I’ve been called a ‘bland basic bitch,’ which was probably meant as a dig. I found it hilarious.

“I also discovered that I’m not much of a style icon.”

LAST year, the star revealed she had to stop looking at negative comments online.

She said: “I’ve stopped googling myself — nothing good ever comes of it. It gives you an inflated sense of yourself, too.

“It makes you feel like everyone is paying attention to you and they’re not.”
