FAMILY PLANS

Ant on Dec... & Dec on Ant

- MARK JEFFERIES reporters@dailyrecord.co.uk

TO SAY that Ant and Dec seem to have everything would be an understatement.

With no less than three mega-hit TV shows, 29 NTA and Bafta awards, they are said to be worth a staggering £60million each – oh, and they’ve been voted Britain’s favourite presenters 16 times.

But there is one more thing the 41-year-old Geordie duo want to add to their list of achievements – babies. Perhaps sooner rather than later.

Eight million viewers will tune in to their Saturday Night Takeaway live from Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, tonight – and the boys admit the next time they visit, they’d love to be taking their own little ones along.

Dec said: “It is almost like a prescription. Everybody should come and spend a couple of days in Disney once in their life.

“It is such a positive place, happy and warm. It is the perfect place for us to end the series.

“You can’t help but be blown away by this place. Would we come back with a little Ant and Dec?

“Oh, definitely! We saw it on the show, what it means for young ones to come out here.

“It would be one of those things to do with children, definitely.”

As Ant nodded in agreement, Dec added: “Kids are absolutely one of the things on the cards for us.”

Family is important to both of them. Ant married Lisa Armstrong, a Strictly make-up artist, in 2006 but the pair met in 1994 when she was in the band Deuce and PJ and Duncan were chart stars.

Dec started dating Ali Astall, the pair’s manager, in 2013, having been close for years. They married in August 2015 with his brother Dermott Donnelly, a Catholic priest, conducting the service in Elswick, Newcastle.

But the icing on the cake for their mums was the OBEs they received in January.

The only If he was a Disney character, what would he be and why?

Dec would be Prince Charming. It is the perfect role for him.

Donald Duck, cos when you see him in the park he struts round like he owns the place. He is the cheeky mischievous one. That’s him. What is he better at than you? Spelling! At the moment he is better than me at golf a lot, which I am not happy about. We are both about a 20 handicap. What does he give good advice on?

Dec me gives advice on everything.

It is quite good to always have that person there with an opinion you really trust. What is his best and worst quality?

Dec’s timekeeping is really bad. He is reliably and consistently 15 minutes late. He is a very good friend.

Ant is very considerate, but he has a lack of modesty!
