JUVE LEAVE BARCA NEEDING NEW MIRACLE

-

PAULO DYBALA upstaged fellow Argentine Lionel Messi with a deadly double to give Juve a massive first-leg advantage over Barcelona.

And the Catalan side will now need a repeat of their stunning comeback against PSG in the last round to stay in Europe.

With two top finishes, Dybala put Max Allegri’s side on course to avenge their defeat in the 2015 final to the Catalans.

Giorgio Chiellini added the third, leaving Barca with another mountain to climb after overturning a 4-0 deficit against PSG in the last 16.

Juve midfielder Miralem Pjanic said: “We are very happy but it is not finished. We know what they did against PSG.”

The home side almost took the lead when Gonzalo Higuain sent a free header into the arms of keeper Marc Ter Stegen. But Dybala got the opener three minutes later when he curled a diagonal effort past Ter Stegen.

Andres Iniesta was denied by a brilliant save from Gianluigi Buffon before the Italians doubled their advantage.

Mario Madzukic cut the ball back to Dybala and he curled another magnificent shot home. Barca had a Messi goal ruled for offside but were soon under pressure with Ter Stegen saving from Higuain twice. But he could do nothing about Chiellini’s header.

Barca boss Luis Enrique said: “We had a bad first half. In the second half we were the better team but we conceded a third.” SHOCKED Dortmund keeper Roman Burki admits it will be tough to focus on football tonight – less than 24 hours after yesterday’s suspected terror attack.

Last night’s quarter-final first-leg was postponed after Dortmund defender Marc Bartra was injured and taken to hospital following explosions near the team bus.

It has been rescheduled for tonight but Burki was badly shaken by the incident.

He said: “I was sitting next to Marc, who was hit by fragments of the broken window. After the bang, we all ducked down and whoever could got on the floor.

“We didn’t know what else was going to happen. Nobody thought about a football match in those minutes.”

Dortmund chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke added: “The whole team is in shock but we have to get through this.”
