Don’t draw out fight for league title

GRAEME STEWART is warning Buckie Thistle not to blow their crack at title glory by playing for a draw at Formartine United.

Midweek results set the Jags on course for their first triumph since 2011 after eight-man Cove Rangers held on for a point away to Turriff United while Buckie won 5-2 away to Fraserburgh.

Defending champions Cove, two points adrift of Thistle, must win back-to-back closing fixtures against Lossiemouth and hope Buckie lose to the Pitmedden men and Strathspey Thistle.

But Stewart said: “I don’t think anyone can afford to think a point is enough. Thinking that way, it comes back to bite you.” (2pm, unless stated)
