Little, 27, is now recovering and wrote on Instagram: “Very grateful to so many different people that I’m here right now. Scary stuff. Thanks for messages.”

ANDY LITTLE yesterday revealed the horrific extent of the training ground injury that left him with a fractured skull.

The former Rangers star admitted he’s grateful to be alive after an accidental collision with one of his Stirling Albion team-mates knocked him unconcious for several minutes.

The 27-year-old took to social media yesterday, posting graphic pictures showing the severity of his injuries, including a broken eye socket, as he lay in a hospital bed.

Little said: “Very grateful to so many different people that I’m here right now. Scary stuff. Thanks for messages. Too many to read or reply to for now.”

The image posted on his Instagram showed Little wearing a neck brace with serious swelling and bruising around his right eye, tagged with the caption: “Back in no time.”

The accident overshadowed the Binos’ preparations for today’s clash against bottom of the table Cowdenbeath.

The Blue Brazil face a huge challenge to survive with just four games remaining but boss Gary Locke said: “We have to still believe we can get enough points to finish ninth.”
