ROB CHRYSTIE reckons his Melrose men got sweet revenge over Ayr with their 23-18 Scottish Cup Final comeback win.

The Greenyards gaffer had been in the doldrums after watching the seasiders edge past his troops to bag the BT Premiership crown.

He said: “There were lots of strong feelings among the lads.

“It was crucial that they channeled it the right way. You could sense the sheer emotion in that display – the want and the desire.”

Winger Nyle Godsmark scored the winning try.
