RANGERS are set to play a glamour pre-season tournament against Liverpool and PSV Eindhoven – at the unlikely setting of English non-league side Nuneaton Town.

Pedro Caixinha’s side are set for a return to European football for the first time in five years next season.

And they’ve agreed to take part in the six-team event at the home of the English National League North club in July.

Wolves and Coventry will also be taking part as well as the hosts at the Coombe Abbey Arena in Warwickshire.

Nuneaton boss Tommy Wright said: “I would like to thank the managers of all the clubs that are participating.

“This will be a festival of football and something I really hope the whole town get behind. It’s going to provide excellent preparation for the new season.

“We are delighted that such renowned clubs have accepted the invites and we look forward to hosting this tournament.”
