A murderer in mourning

on her bed. Her home help found her.

Docherty and Dixon refused to admit their guilt and subjected Margaret’s loved ones to a four-week trial in 2005.

The jury didn’t believe their false alibis, and judge Lord Hardie jailed them for life with minimum terms of 25 years.

He told them their “wickedly reckless and truly evil” crime was “beyond the comprehension of all decent people”.

The court heard Docherty had 54 previous convictions for more than 120 offences, many involving violence.

As he was led to the cells, Docherty shouted at the jury: “I hope you can sleep at night.” Lord Hardie gave him an extra year for contempt of court.

Docherty has shown no remorse since. When he lost an appeal in 2014, he flew into a rage and yelled: “Call this f ****** justice? I’m innocent.”

The prison service allowed him to marry on-off lover Elizabeth Miller in jail in 2007. And in 2009, he was caught on social media bragging about his cushy life behind bars.

Docherty boasted: “It’s great being able to jump out of bed straight into a shower to freshen up before staff even start to unlock at 8am.”

The killer also revealed he was paid to cut other inmates’ hair and told how he passed the time drawing pictures and teaching cons art.

He was caught with a home-made knife in his cell in 2015.

He’ll carry on bleating. What a pathetic human being SOURCE
