TWO young pals have been killed in a fireball car crash.

Shaun Boyce, 27 and Storm Drummond, 25, died when the Vauxhall Astra they were in hit a tree and burst into flames.

The accident happened on the A711 near Tower Wood in Dumfries on Sunday. Both victims were from the town.

Friends and relatives last night paid their respects on social media.

Dad-of-one Shaun’s brother James said: “Rest in peace little brother Shaun Boyce. Can’t believe we lost you so young. I promise I’ll do my best to honour your memory and look after the family.

“It was an honour to have you as a brother and I will never forget the memories we shared.”

Dale Marshall said: “RIP Storm Drummond. Loads of good memories and certainly won’t be forgotten. Couldn’t get a more honest person.”

Lisa Mary Setchell said: “Can’t believe it, another beautiful kind hearted girl taken far too soon.”

A Go Fund Me page to raise money for Shaun’s funeral had last night collected more than £1000.

Shaun and Storm both died at the crash scene. A teenager heading the other way found the blazing car in the middle of the road.

The 18-year-old said: “I shouted into the car but there was no response. There was nothing anyone could do. The heat was so fierce.”

Police have appealed for witnesses.
