JIM CHAPMAN hopes his Jekyll and Hyde act helps Annan secure a League One play-off triumph at Forfar. The Galabank boss admits the grumpy side of his nature will be on show at Station Park as his side go for a semi-final second-leg win with the scores tied at 2-2. Despite racing into a 2-0 lead within 16 minutes on Wednesday night, two late goals for Gary Bollan’s men brought out Chapman’s menacing Hyde side. He said: “I don’t like myself from 3pm on a Saturday through to 4.45pm. I would kick my granny to win and I get aggrieved when things go against my players. People don’t recognise this crabbit wee git on the sidelines but that’s what I am. “I’m a nice guy away from football but during those 90 minutes I am a winner. “That’s why so much of this campaign has been satisfying. We RORY McALLISTER admits it’s time Peterhead make amends for a “shocking” campaign.

The Blue Toon drew 1-1 draw with Montrose in their League One play-off first leg at started the season with just five players but didn’t think we’d be near the top of the league.

“Now we have a chance to go up to League One and have punched way above our resources.

“We have the lowest budget in the league but it shows the job that has been done at Annan. We are in a position which nobody thought we would be in.”

Chapman doesn’t believe Forfar’s two late goals have put them into the driving seat.

He said: “You can win and lose games within a short period.

“We need to remember we were excellent in the first half and no team has any advantage in terms of goals, so that’s important.”

But Forfar defender Eddie Malone insists their fightback has given his side fresh hope.

He said: “We would have had a mountain to climb had we not scored. It’s back to square one.

“We believe we have the players to finish the job – and now we need to prove it.” Links Park on Wednesday night.

McAllister admits fans are due a home league win after only four this term.

He said: “We have been shocking at times this season. The fans deserve better. We haven’t turned up enough at home - let’s turn it around.”

But Stewart Petrie believes underdogs Montrose can pull off a shock and said: “We’ll enjoy the occasion.”
