Diesel gases cause 38,000 extra deaths
DIESEL vehicles churn out far more air pollution than standard tests pick up, scientists have claimed.
They say the toxic gases lead to many thousands of unreported deaths.
Research shows excess emissions of nitrogen oxide are linked to 38,000 deaths worldwide on top of the estimated 3.7million caused by outdoor air pollution.
The US scientists say there is too little awareness of the impact of “real world” vehicle air pollution.
