Obnoxious, racist sexists.. and they’re sitting on our councils

the Tories will never be the party to help those living in poverty or families struggling to make ends meet.

“They are the party of the rich and big business, and that has not changed, no matter how much Davidson and May try to fool people.

“You just need to look at the things they say and do. There is this attitude that someone who is having a tough time of it only has themselves to blame and that they just need to work harder.

“For many young people in places like Castlemilk, that just isn’t realistic.

“They are trying and want to work and to build a better life for themselves and for their communities. It is just a case of everyone working together to try to make it possible and the Tories will never be about that.” Leading human rights lawyer Aamer Anwar said: “Scrape the surface and Tories always expose themselves as a party for the rich.

“This is not a ‘reformed caring’ party but a group of thugs who rejoice in pushing people into poverty and desperation. The Tories have the cheek to complain about nationalism, yet are the first to drape themselves in the Union Jack and over Brexit raced to the gutter just to get votes.

“You don’t need to turn back the clock to Thatcher to see that this party are one of austerity who sow division and hatred.

“They want five more years to smash our living standards, flog the NHS, whip up racism and take us to war, while exploiting the vulnerable, the poor and kicking working families in the teeth. Make sure you use your vote and keep the Tories out of Scotland. Let’s make sure that, come the general election, we turn Scotland into a Tory-free zone and kick out their one useless MP David Mundell.” Socialist campaigner and ex-MSP Tommy Sheridan said: “Ruth Davidson is devoid of any compassion or care for fellow human beings. She is a ruthless woman who will do anything in pursuit of her own political career.

“Her coldness makes her an ideal Tory leader as they are a party without heart and without a soul. The people of Scotland have both heart and compassion and they will never embrace these people again.

“You only need to look at the party’s history in Scotland from the poll tax to the bedroom tax today to know that they can never be trusted.” THE new raft of Tory councillors elected this month are the most obnoxious bunch of politicians ever gathered together under one party banner in Scotland.

Social media posts and previous public statements have exposed sexism, racism and extreme right-wing views at the heart of Ruth Davidson’s revival.

Some of the lowlights include Alastair Majury, 35, who was elected to Stirling Council. He was censured over his rants on Twitter under the X-Filesthemed alias “Mulder1981”.

Majury likened Scottish nationalists to Nazis, dismissed homelessness and food support charities, attacked benefit claimants and said the SNP were too busy talking about gay marriage.

Meanwhile, his fellow Stirling councillor Robert Davies has been reported to police after a series of racist tweets likening black people to cannibals.

Over in Perth & Kinross, councillor Ian James described the term “African American” as a “stupid, politically correct euphemism”.

He also hailed the days of “political characters” like Enoch Powell, who achieved notoriety with his Rivers of Blood speech.

James also called Nicola Sturgeon a “poison dwarf ” and a “poisonous Oompah fr **** n Loompah” in the vile Facebook rants. Other scandals engulfing Scottish Tories include: ●Moray councillor Donald Gatt, who said the poor “shouldn’t have kids”. ● North Ayrshire councillor Todd Ferguson questioned the relevance of the views of an SNP candidate because she was born in the Netherlands. ● South Lanarkshire councillor Colin McGavigan called carers “the great unwashed”. ●Inverclyde’s David Wilson asked gay councillors to out themselves while moaning about funding an LGBT group. ● Fife councillor Kathleen Leslie called the First Minister a “drooling hag”.

They really are a lovely bunch.
