Strictly Anton: Being a dad’s twincredible

- ASHLEIGH RAINBIRD

ANTON Du Beke has told how he loves being a dad to twins and is happily sharing nocturnal nappy-changing and feeding duties with his wife.

The 50-year-old Strictly Come Dancing star and wife Hannah, 41, rubbished One Direction singer Liam Payne’s claim that getting up at night is the mum’s job.

Hannah, who married Anton after she gave birth in March, explained: “I am expressing and he takes the bottle so he can feed in the night. He is really involved.

“I said it would not be that much longer they will be feeding in the night, and Anton said he would miss it. “How many men say that?” Anton said: “I can’t tell you how much I love it.

“They are now eight weeks and it goes in a heartbeat.”

He added: “They are not sickly babies. They sleep well and they are calm. “They sleep at the same time.” The dancer also insisted that while the couple had a maternity nurse, they would not hire full-time childcare.

Anton said: “I think having a maternity nurse is good as they teach you what to do next. I am learning as I go along.”

Last week, pop star Liam, 23, said his girlfriend Cheryl, 33, was solely responsible for feeding their baby son Bear at night because it was “pointless” for a man to do it.

Anton announced the birth of his twins on Instagram by posting a picture of two tiny pairs of ribboned booties with his signature stage top hat and cane.

He wrote at the time: “Oh my! The little dancing feet have arrived. Mum and twins are perfect and dad is ridiculously excited!”
