Ali urges Accies to win it for Mikey

-

ALI CRAWFORD says Hamilton aim to dedicate a Premiership play-off final win to Mikey Devlin who picked up a serious knee ligament injury last weekend. Accies travel to face Dundee United in the first leg tonight and midfielder Crawford said: “It’s terrible news about Mikey. “It’s a huge blow for him and the club. He’s captain and is clearly going to be a big miss so we have to make sure we do it for him.

“It’s vital when he comes back that we’re still in the top flight, nobody here wants to be in the Championship.

“We have been there and done it before so we know what it takes to win a play-off final.”

●Ali Crawford was speaking ahead of the Premiership play-off final first leg which is live on BT Sport 1.

DUNDEE UTD midfielder Scott Fraser has been given the all-clear to face Hamilton tonight.

Fraser suffered a foot knock against Falkirk in Friday’s semi-final win but an X-ray has revealed no lasting damage.

Stewart Murdoch is still struggling with a thigh injury while Lewis Toshney remains out with a dislocated shoulder.

Accies will be missing skipper Mikey Devlin after he suffered an anterior cruciate ligament tear last weekend.

But fellow stopper Georgios Sarris could return from a back injury.
