Armed cops on duty at cup final
ARMED cops will form a ring of steel around Hampden at today’s Scottish Cup Final.
As the terror threat to the UK remains “critical” following the Manchester bomb attack, officers will also be deployed at key locations across the city.
About 50,000 Celtic and Aberdeen fans will descend on Hampden Park on Glasgow’s south side.
Police warned supporters to expect to see officers with firearms at the stadium and transport hubs, including Glasgow’s two mainline stations – Central and Queen Street.
Outer cordons for body and bag searches set back from the stadium will also be in operation.
Police have asked fans
