MAN, 41, TO FACE JAYMIE MURDER RAP
Dad-of-two was stabbed in street
A SUSPECT is due in court today charged with murdering a father of two found in a pool of blood in the street.
Jaymie Hall, 35, was stabbed on Saturday evening and suffered multiple injuries.
He was found in Dumbryden Gardens, Wester Hailes, Edinburgh, and died soon after arriving at the city’s Royal Infirmary.
Medics fought in vain to save his life.
Police later arrested and charged a 41-year-old man, who is expected to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court.
A spokeswoman confirmed: “A male has been charged with murder following the death of a man in the Wester Hailes area.
“Jaymie Stuart Hal l sustained a number of serious injuries during a disturbance in Dumbryden Gardens at around 9.25 p.m. on Saturday.
“A major investigation was launched and a 41-year-old man was arrested.
“Police would like to thank the public for their assistance and support.”
A police command unit and van were stationed throughout Sunday at the flats where Jamie was found.
Four forensics officers examined the entrance to a hal lway. Blood could be seen on the path and steps leading towards the building.
Officers also carried out a fingertip search of nearby undergrowth before the suspect was arrested.
Friends of Jaymie paid tribute to him on social media. One wrote: “RIP. heart goes out to your family.”
A second said: “Gone but not forgotten. Peace and love bro.”
And a third added: “He was the father of a young son, thoughts and prayers for his family. RIP.”
