When push comes to shove, it’s tacky Trump

-

“I’M FIRST. No, I’m first. No, me, me, me!”

Nope, not a bickering session between my sons when they were competitive toddlers, but the internal dialogue in Donald Trump’s brain right before he bounced Montenegro’s prime minister out of the way to get to the front of the Nato photoshoot.

The quote of the week has to be the comment from the US State Department official, who said of the incident: “When it comes to diplomacy, President Trump is a drunk tourist – loud and tacky, shoving his way around the dancefloor.”

So there’s hope then. Because those are usually the imbeciles who end up on their lonesome at the end of the night, before being promptly packed off home with nothing more to show for their trip than a hangover, a dayglo tan, a big bag of washing and a few toe-curling memories they’d rather forget. ● SEVERAL days after the British Airways debacle and thousands of people are still waiting to be reunited with their luggage, while complaints continue to stack up from British passengers who couldn’t get through to the BA call centres which are based in Madrid and India.

Worse, those calling from the US and several other countries had access to a phone helpline until 11pm, while the lines closed to UK callers at 8pm.

Maybe time to start considering rebranding the company to reflect reality. Sunseekers, get your bookings in now for next year’s jolly with Not Really British Lost Luggage Don’t Call Us We’ll Call You Airways.
