OHARA DAVIES admits his fight with Josh Taylor at Braehead Arena next month will be the toughest of his career.

The unbeaten superlightweight kept his cool as the Scottish champion grabbed his sunglasses at Tuesday’s media conference to promote the July 8 bout.

Davies – who’s nicknamed Two Tanks after blasting 12 of his 15 rivals out inside the distance – admits he’s saving it all for the hardest fight of his life against Taylor.

He said: “I’m a very calm person. They’ll see the real me at Braehead – having a circus at a press conference is not the way to do it.

“This is something I’ve been training for all my life and it’s all I’m focusing on.

“I want him to be in the best shape of his life. I expect this will be the hardest fight of my career. I’m 15-0 and I’ve yet to be tested.

“Even I don’t know how good I might be because no one’s taken me to the limit.

“I reckon Taylor is the man to push me. Whatever happens once I beat Taylor I only want to fight the best.”

Davies is relishing the prospect of facing a hostile reception from a Scottish crowd cheering on Edinburgh fighter Taylor.

But he said: “I love Glasgow and I’ve probably been there more often than Josh has. I’ve been to lots of Ricky Burns’s fights and the atmosphere is tremendous.

“Even if they boo me I’ll enjoy it. If they make noise it will fire me up. This will be a fight to remember.”
