Amanda, did you have to plunge so low?
BGT viewers in fury at star’s shock frock
More than 200 viewers have complained to the TV watchdog about the daring dress Amanda holden wore on Britain’s Got Talent.
The judge, 46, walked on stage on Thursday in a low-cut black gown slashed to her navel and the small of her back.
Ofcom said they have received 216 complaints. A spokesman said: “We will assess these complaints before deciding whether or not to investigate.”
Fellow judge Alesha Dixon also turned heads with a skimpy semi-finals week outfit.
But some viewers felt Amanda had gone too far.
Even fellow judge David Walliams made a dig as he praised choir Angelicus Celtis. He said: “None of you are wearing a really inappropriate low-cut top.”
Amanda wore another daring dress last night – again with a neckline plunging down to her stomach. Uploading an image of her wearing the sequined halterneck to Twitter before the last live semi-final she wrote: “Extra special thanks to my glam team again!”
It emerged yesterday that Julia Carlile, 15, who is part of the MerseyGirls group through to the final, has been offered help from a top spinal surgeon.
Julia has scoliosis and her plight caught the attention of Dr Evan Davies of Southampton Children’s Hospital, who said: “I’d like to offer her and her family the chance to speak with my team.”
