Not the best show of talent
LIKE a chipolata bursting from its skin, Amanda Holden tottered on to the BgT stage, held together by boob tape and questionable taste.
Amanda has been honest in her naked ambition to get tongues hanging out and wagging with her outfits on Britain’s got Talent.
And this week in a plunging dress, slashed to the navel, Amanda achieved her aim to “spark complaints” to Ofcom about her revealing ensembles.
The outraged Twitterati condemned her for dressing like a “stripper”, which is unfair to women who strip for reasons of being skint, rather than attention seeking.
Dolly parton once said: “It costs a lot of money to look this cheap” – and it’s fair to say Amanda’s £11,250 Julien McDonald dress won’t be appearing in any strip joints soon.
Amanda, 46, would look good in a bin bag, just preferably one not ripped open by a hungry cat.
One viewer tweeted: “So Amanda is effectively topless on BgT.”
But another wrote: “It’s a bit of cleavage, grow up. Is her body. Not yours.” Which is a fair point.
Amanda can, like every woman, wear what she wants but when feminists burned their bras, the right to wear saucy statement dresses wasn’t their priority.
As an accomplished actress, nominated for a Laurence Olivier Award, she has greater talents to inspire young fans, than any she shows off in a dress.
