A MUM who lost two babies in three years is helping others going through similar heartbreak.

Danielle Wilson’s first child Brooke was stillborn at 22 weeks in March 2014. Her second, Junior, lost his fight for life in January after being born premature at 26 weeks last December.

Former admin assistant Danielle has helped to launch a campaign to help mums cope with losing their babies.

The 25-year-old, from Foxbar, Paisley, added: “It has been a very difficult time but I wanted to do something to help other people. We are trying to help young mums who have children with terminal illness or babies that have been born too soon.”

Danielle helped found Bumblebee Babies, which she hopes will provide much-needed support.

She added: “Junior is the first Bumblebee Baby.

“We wanted to show that his journey still continues and he will always be remembered.

“I want to use my experiences for something positive. I have thrown myself into the charity work and it has kept me going on. I can relate to what other people are going through. If I can help one other mum or family member, I feel I have done my job.” Brenda Murray, of Community Care Scotland, who run Bumblebee Babies, said: “Danielle has been fantastic. She has been working with people who have lost children or who have kids with medical issues or people that have lost relatives to cancer.” The Record previously revealed that Danielle fears a drug given to Junior at Glasgow’s Queen Elizabeth University Hospital played a part in his death. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde said a review into Junior’s birth is ongoing.
