.. but little lost between brothers
LIAM Gallagher has reignited the simmering feud with his brother by blasting Noel for not performing at the One Love Manchester gig.
Liam flew back to the UK on a private jet from Germany – after performing at Rock im Park in Nuremberg – to be a surprise addition to the line-up on Sunday night.
He sang Rock ’n’ Roll Star and Live Forever, after Ariana Grande had earlier performed Oasis hit Don’t Look Back in Anger with Coldplay’s Chris Martin.
Noel, who had previously said he couldn’t attend the concert because of a “long-standing family trip”, was pictured enjoying the sun on a yacht in Positano, Italy, with his wife Sara on Saturday.
But Liam, 44, sneered on Twitter yesterday: “Manchester id like to apologise for my brothers absence last night.”
He added he was “very disappointed”.
Referring to his sibling’s prior commitments, he fumed: “Noels out of the f***ing country weren’t we all love get on a f***ing plane and play your tunes for the kids you sad f***.”
When one fan quipped the Oasis reunion will now never materialise, Liam replied: “F*** the reunion mate it ain’t about oasis it’s about people helping other people and he’s once again shown his true f***ing colours.”
Earlier, Liam had posted: “What an amazing night last night pure love vibrations nobody comes close to Manchester love forever.”
He then had his first dig of the day at his brother: “Oh and if anybody’s seen rkid tell him he can come out now as you were.”
A spokesman for Noel, who turned 50 last week, said before the gig: “Sadly, Noel will not be at the concert this weekend. He’s been out of the country on a long-standing family trip since before the concert was announced and is unable to attend. Needless to say, he is very supportive of the event and wishes everyone huge success on the day.” The brothers and former bandmates fell out when Oasis split in 2009 and have not spoken to each other properly since.
Liam recently told Q magazine the pair have “no dynamic, ‘cos we don’t speak”. Noel had not responded to his brother’s online digs by last
night.
