Gemmill: Don’t let minnows box you in

- Gavin Berry

SCOT GEMMILL last night urged his Scotland starlets not to underestimate Indonesia – after only managing to find 180 minutes of footage on the Asian minnows.

Three points in today’s final Group C game would boost his Under-20s’ chances of making the Toulon Tournament last four.

Indonesia are without a point or a goal although Brazil beat them just 1-0 while the Czech Republic only made sure of victory with a second goal late on.

Gemmill said: “You can see from their performances in the first two games Indonesia are very organised.

“They’ve been in a camp for a month and you can tell. But we came here to do well and are going to be very motivated. I don’t like to use this cliche but I have to say there are no easy games.

“However, I am really confident if we can get our performance correct we can win.”

Gemmill revealed the only footage available of Indonesia is from their two games as he said: “We couldn’t get anything from before Toulon. We’ve got footage from this tournament and that’s fine – that’s how we have worked before. We will do our homework and find a way to win.”

Skipper Oliver Burke picked up an ankle knock against the Czech Republic and needed treatment before going off against Brazil.

And Gemmill added: “Oliver has another knock in his foot but it’s just about assessing him.”
