HARRY KANE has called for England to “Keep Calm and Carry On” if they want to silence the Hampden Roar this weekend.

The Spurs striker is expected to return to Gareth Southgate’s side for Saturday’s Hampden World Cup qualifier.

And the 23-year-old is convinced cool heads and professionalism should be enough to win the day for the English.

Kane said: “It’s a massive game. Everyone knows how big the rivalry is and we had a great result against them at Wembley in November.

“We just want to go out there and do it again.

“We know it will be a bit tougher doing it away from home but with the team we have and the confidence we have we know we just have to go out there and not get too caught up in the moment.

“You have to be professional. Of course it’s going to be a passionate game but it’s about being calm and composed and sticking to the game plan.

“I feel we can do that – I feel we have a levelheaded squad.”

Kane would relish the responsibility of being handed the captain’s armband despite his relative inexperience at international level.

The attacker, who has 17 caps for England and has scored five goals, said: “I see myself as one of the leaders now.

“I’m only 23 but there are a lot of younger players in the team and I have a good relationship with them.

“If someone is feeling a bit down or if they’re not quite right we’re there to help them out.” 1962: DAVIE WILSON AND ERIC CALDOW THE HEROES... 1964: ALAN GILZEAN FIRES WINNER... 1968: JOHN HUGHES EARNS A DRAW... 1974: JOE JORDAN AND COLIN TODD’S OG WIN IT... 1976: CLOSE YER LEGS RAY, KING KEN
