THE LAST LEG: RE-UNITED KINGDOM

C4, 9pm WHILE all around us is chaos and confusion, The Last Leg has been like a weekly safe refuge for comedy and debate.

Like a big warm hug, it embraces our questions (with the hashtag #isitok?), champions causes and somehow keeps the laughter going, even in the face of horror and heartbreak.

In the aftermath of the murder of MP Jo Cox, a year ago today, host Adam Hills responded perfectly, handing over to a choir to sing a tribute in Jo’s constituency.

And in one of his famous monologues, Adam said: “We are better than this. No ideology is worth taking a life for.”

He also reminded viewers of Jo’s maiden speech to parliament, in which she said: “We are far more united and have far more in common than that which divides us.”

In this two-hour special, inspired by and in memory of Jo Cox, Adam, along with co-hosts Alex Brooker
