Police chief is ‘humbled’

POLICE Scotland deputy chief constable Rose Fitzpatric­k was humbled to be made a CBE.

Rose served with City of London Police and the Met before moving to Scotland, where she is responsibl­e for local policing.

She thanked her colleagues and family for their support and said: “This is a great and very humbling honour.

“Policing really matters to our communitie­s. It’s a privilege as well as a joy to work every day with amazing colleagues and partners.”

Deputy chief constable Johnny Gwynne and Chief Superinten­dent Gill Imery both receive the Queen’s Police Medal.
