New Despicable Me baddie is the spit of Trainspotting’s mentalist Frank
HE’S got the sleazy ’tache, the shocking mullet and the scary, piercing stare. But his name’s not Begbie, it’s Balthazar.
Movie fans reckon Balthazar Bratt, the new villain in Despicable Me 3, is the living spit of the legendary Trainspotting crazy man. Balthazar’s bitter because he’s a forgotten TV child star whose show was axed when he hit puberty. He’s out for revenge on the world, but he hasn’t yet stooped to chucking pint glasses off balconies in crowded pubs.
Old Franco would probably reckon he could take him easy, but we’d far rather see him have a square go with the Minions.
