Sex swap stalker told: Stay away
A STALKER who posed as a man to hound her partner’s ex-girlfriend has been ordered to stay away from her victim.
A sheriff yesterday issued a one-year anti-harassment order banning Wendy Edgar from approaching or contacting the woman.
Recruitment consultant Edgar, 45, was also fined £500. She appeared for sentence at Glasgow Sheriff Court.
Edgar, of Kilmarnock, posed as a man called John Davies to harass her victim using fake profiles on Facebook and dating site Plenty of Fish. She also used Instagram.
A source told us she also sent malicious messages to the woman’s mother, boyfriend and boss.
The abuse continued for 13 months. Edgar kept it up even after police warned her off.
First offender Edgar pled guilty at an earlier hearing to stalking charges.
She admitted contacting the victim and her family under a false name between July 2015 and August last year, and creating bogus profiles to send messages to her victims as Davies.
She further admitted posting abusive messages on Instagram. It’s understood her boyfriend, David Campbell, is standing by her.
