Cops step up hunt for Allan
POLICE are searching a house as part of their probe into the disappearance of a young man after a night out three years ago.
The major investigation team executed a warrant at an address in Glenrothes, Fife, as they bid to trace Allan Bryant, 23, who vanished in 2013.
His dad, also Allan, said yesterday: “The police are searching a property in the Barnton Place area. The search will be ongoing over the weekend.
“To everyone who knows what has happened to our son Allan, let this be a warning to you, the major investigation team and the police are doing everything to find out what has happened to him.
“I only ask can family, friends and the general public keep away from this area and let the police conduct the search?
“My family are devastated at the news and can only pray this may help us find the closure we so badly need.”
Allan was last seen outside Styx nightclub in Glenrothes on November 3, 2013.
His family believe he was murdered.
Detective Inspector Stuart Wilson, of the major investigation team, said: “We remain committed to getting answers for the Bryant family and any information we receive from the community will be assessed and further action taken wherever appropriate.”
