Wee have the power, Glastonbury

INFORMATION signs at Glastonbury festival this week will be wee-powered – by a 40-person urinal near the Pyramid stage.

Pee Power technology – designed by scientists at the Bristol Bioenergy Centre at the University of the West of England – can power lights and charge mobile phones.

It is estimated more than 1000 litres of urine per day will flow through the fuel cells of Pee Power. This can create enough power to charge 10 info panels.
