You’ll start 130 diets in your lifetime
Depressing message for women out to lose weight
THE typical woman will start 130 diets in her life, a study suggests.
Each new regime lasts an average of 31 days and Ms Average starts two every year, researchers claim.
A fat-free diet was the most common health fix, with going veggie second.
The survey found that the most common explanation for diets failing was that women simply love food.
Others admitted they didn’t have enough willpower, and some got fed up when they didn’t see results quickly enough.
Some women complained that they couldn’t stick to diets because their social lives were too busy and they kept having to eat out.
But Catherine Marshall of hospitality software firm Fourth, who ran the study, insisted modern restaurants cater for slimmers.
She said: “More often than not there will be options suitable for any diet.”
Fourth polled 1500 women. Chocolate was the treat they missed most on diets, followed by takeaways.
