YOUNG Scots athlete Cameron Tindle is being tipped for sprinting stardom.

The 19-year-old Borderer will head for Bedford today for the UK trials for next month’s European junior championships in Italy.

Tindle is one of only two Brits at his age to go under 21 seconds in the 200 metres this season.

World indoor champion Richard Kilty, who has been a regular source of advice for the teen, said: “Cameron’s already running world-class times for a junior.

“The times he’s running are phenomenal, faster than I was running at that age over 200 metres certainly.

“He’s definitely got a lot of potential.”
