ANDY MURRAY got back home just in time to see Leigh Griffiths’s second stunning free-kick at Hampden last Saturday – and claimed he knew Scotland still wouldn’t win. The patriotic Scot, who had returned from playing in the French Open Paris that morning, said: “I had been out, got home and my wife put the TV on and said, ‘England and Scotland are playing football just now’.
“And literally the second free-kick from Griffiths went in just as we put it on. So we didn’t get to see loads of the game. And I said, ‘Scotland are still not winning this’.
“I’d heard it wasn’t a great game – I’d been following it on social media and everyone was saying the first half was dull. But it was a good end.”
